Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for this film. This movie was launched officially on 10 April 2014 at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The principal photography commenced on 22 September 2014 at Hyderabad. This movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on 2 April 2015. And audio to be released on march 15th.

Director Trivikram Srinivas planned to direct Allu Arjun in a movie produced by S. Radha Krishna on Haarika & Haasine Creations who produced the duo’s previous collaboration movie Julai (2012) as Trivikram srinivas gave them a commitment to do another movie with them. Later Allu Aravind was rumoured to co-produce of this movie under Geetha Arts banner. The film’s pooja ceremony was conducted at Radha Krishna’s office in early December 2013 and the film’s shoot was expected to start in month February 2014.The rumors of this movie being shelved were rubbished by a source from the film’s unit which said that Trivikram srinivas almost completed the script and the dialogues for this movie and added that he would proceed for the shoot after completing everything.Music director Devi Sri Prasad was selected to compose the music for this movie .Prawin Pudi was signed in on as the film’s editor marking his fifth collaboration with Trivikram srinivas.

This movie was officially launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on 10 April 2014 at 11:06 AM. In June 2014, the film’s title was rumored named as Kavacham. In late August 2014, this movie was planned for a simultaneous release in trilingual versions in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Later a dubbed Kannada version along with Tamil and Malayalam was planned to cash in on Upendra’s popularity and to increase stylish star Allu Arjun’s decent market in Karnataka. After a lot of discussions, the makers apparently planned to name this movie as Trishulam tentatively which was the title of 1983 Telugu film starring Krishnam Raju and heroine Sridevi. The needed agreements were said to be signed between the makers of the two movies in early November 2014.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad was signed in to compose the soundtrack album and background score for this movie. Folk-fusion artist Raghu Dixit made his debut in Telugu cinema as a playback singer with this movie and confirmed on 4 February 2015 that he has completed recording a special song for this movie which he termed a “kick ass” one. The soundtrack was announced to be released on date 14 March 2015. Pawan Kalyan along with Mahesh Babu were expected to attend this movie audio launch as the chief guests. Music director Devi Sri Prasad completed recording a song in late February 2015 whose lyrics too were penned by him. This film makers announced that they would release the film’s soundtrack on 15 March 2015 at Shilpakala Vedika. Channel MAA TV acquired the film’s Television broadcast rights for an amount of INR95 million
